Goals and Intentions

The goals of the association are

• to fill the city partnerships of the City of Weiden with life,
• to promote contact between the citizens of the respective partner cities,
• to make friends and build bridges
• to create mutual respect and trust.

The goals will be especially be achieved through

• the maintenance of the close friendships and partnerships between the City of Weiden in the Upper Palatinate and the cities of Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), Macerata (Italy), Weiden am See (Austria), Annaberg-Buchholz (Germany), Marienbad (Czech Republic) and the U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr
• exchange programs in areas such as youth, culture, sports, education and social studies
• the exchange of information concerning issues such as environmental protection, city planning, infrastructure and economy
